The last game in the Elite series was not to be an extravagrant affair as the Midget Ice Dogs came to a screeching halt.
The Ice Gods had a say in this game as we had lots of chances but little success in a 4-1 loss to the gamer Saugeen Shores Storm #2.

The two 'mad clappers' were out in force as our ears thumped to the clapping during some fantastic scoring chances by the surging Ice Dogs, but as the case usually can be, one miscue on defence and we are down 1-0. We ended the period getting some thunderous shots on goal to remind SSS#2 that we were still on the puck.
Starting the second period, we had the 'Liberal' Conlan bank the puck off of their player, then pick up the puck again and scoot in all alone and fire a rocket in the bottom left corner to tie it at 1-1. At 9:55 Tie was parked all alone in front of the net but got too much time on his hands and he missed the wide open net. Later Conlan came in all by himself, but this time we weren't so lucky and no goal was scored. We seemed to be watching the puck more then getting in on the action and this resulted in the  Plex team squeaking in two quick goals and we were down 3-1 going into the Third.
This period again had Chayse wobbling a backhander that just missed the top corner and that could've been the game changer if it went in, but we gave up a 'everybody look around' goal and we were down 4-1. At 5:16 Bradley made a sweet sprawling save followed by a loud 'wood shaft' save at the 1:10 mark, and with seconds left Mason missed on a wide backhander and the game ended 4-1 ... a game full of 'almost' goals !!!
Hang your heads up high Ice Dogs, you had a excellent season, even with Noel in sunny Florida for the final series ;-) !!!
Great year Ice Dogs
