Playoffs begin again with two games against Saugeen Shores Storm 2 and a road trip to Seaforth to take on the Stars.
Three games in three days got us back into the kick of things as we came up with two hard fought wins and a 'one star' loss.

The first game against SSS 2 had them peppering Bradley, and he shut the door except for one shot.
In the second Mason got things going with a hard shot on net, with Gavin gobbling up the rebound to tie it. Then off the faceoff, Chayse slid the puck nicely along the ice and ended the period tied at 2's.
In the third period, Thor made a fantastic rush across the grain of the ice and slid the puck in the opposite side of the net, putting us up 3-2. In the late stages of the game... at 1:55 to be exact, the Storm pulled their goalie, and with players skating hard to protect our lead, Brad drilled the puck around the boards and Conlan picked it up at center ice and fired it in the empty net to seal our hard fought game with a 4-2 win!!!

Game two the next day in Chesley was another grinder game as Meticulous Merri filled in from the 'news team' of the Ice Dogs. The first period had SSS 2 score first but we responded in the form of Nates shot and the period ended at one a piece after being out shot almost 2 to 1.
In the second, Bradley was keeping us in the game and we responded with Brad using the little used backhander for one goal and Chayse over to Conlan to end the period with us up 3-1.
The third had us taking more shots and it paid off after giving up a goal we got one back from Mason. Later after giving up another goal, Bradley continued to keep us in the game, and after receiving a double minor, SSS2 pulled their goalie in the last minute of play, but to no avail, leaving Chayse to score just past the buzzer to end the game with a 4-3 win.

Game three was waaaaay down in Seaforth, and it started off with a disallowed goal against them and then Mason fired a point shot that pretty much went through six skaters and somehow made it into the back of the net.
The second period Seaforth started coming on, and defending a 5 on 3 was too much for us and we were behind 3-1 after two periods.
Period three got no better for us even after a sweet goal by Joey into the bottom corner after a nice pass from Gavin. This game wasn't in the cards for us and we ended up on the short end of a 5-2 loss.
We will keep moving on from this loss and hopefully learn some things as we continue our playoff march in March.
