First to 4 points against Saugeen Shores Storm #2 wins the Elite Division.
The next three games will prove the winner in this year ending final!!!
In the first period in Southampton we got behind by 2 goals but we stormed back and scored 3 quick ones, one on a Gavin rebound, another from Chayse to Joe on a deke and the last one from Brandon to Brock and it was in. We were up 3-2 going into the second period.
Later in the second Chayse scored another goal and after lots of end to end action, we were up 4-3.
The third period was weird ... funny bounces, bad hits,lots of falling down and we ended up with the short end of the the stick with a 5-4 lost.
The second game last night had some timely saves by Bradley and Andrew, while, shorthanded feathered s pass up the middle to a streaking Chayse who split the defence and deked their goalie out. After we gave up a goal on a breakaway in the second,and from a pass out of the corner, Gavin fired it in the bottom left corner. Later after a shot by Mitch, Brandon slid the puck in smoothly to go up 3-1. Chayse came across over to Conlan, and he took the bleline, passed back to Chayse and he did another deke for a goal, putting us up 4-2 going into the third period.
The third had Bradley saving our skin as SSS slowly started to chip our lead away until they tied it at 4-4 going into the 10 minute extra time. At 5:37 we had a PP but we just couldn't score and the game ended in a tie.
Down 3 points to 1, the final game is this Wednesday at 6:30 at the Plex!!!
