West Grey came to Chesley and it could be an interesting game from the game before !!!
West Grey and the Midget Ice Dogs had a well played game as we came on in the second and third periods to pull out a 6-2 win.
The first period was fast paced and had some great passes with our yellow tape in honor of a girl and her family with cancer. Brandon had a great chance early in the game with Bradly making suburb saves. The period ended with us down 1-0.
The second was a totally different period as right off the faceoff Andrew passed back to Brad who quickly fired a slap shot in to tie it. Then again Brad slap another on net and Mitch, who was waiting for the rebound, promptly backhanded in a goal and we ended the period up 2-1, keeping West Grey at bay.
The third period we continued our goal scoring right off the first faceoff as Chayse goes down the ice to take a slap shot that found the back of the net on a BIG goalie. Chayse again did it at 14:30 of the period as he slid in another goal making it 4-1. After West Grey recorded a goal, Brock got a pass from Josh and he came in down the boards and jogged in to the faceoff circle and fired a goal above the blocker of the goalie. The game ended with Brandon taking a shot and Brock scooped in the rebound to end the game with a 6-2 win.
We are playing the back half of the schedule and we seem to be a team on a mission ..... Go Ice DOGS :')
