A snowy night in Durham made for a very rough and fighters who are thinking "well I want to but..."
In the first Joey came flying in and passed over to Big Wheel Mason who made a backhander look easy as the puck flew in the top shelf. Later a dribbler by Mason again made it 2-0 and it was a quiet period so far.
In the second Brandon made a funny slot shot helped by Brock and Mitch, and later Gavin got a rebound PP goal assisted by the mysterious # 11 according to the game sheet??? The rough stuff and slashing and head shots began to rear its ugly head. We pressed on and after some passes by Brandon and Conlan, Mitch put in the rebound. Finally Mason made a run for it down the ice and made a sweet pass to Joey and bang, it was in making it 6-2 after two.
The third started good and after DD changed their goalie for a bigger sized one, Chayse passed over to Andrew and snap, the puck went in the top left corner of the net. Things started to get ugly later in the period with body contact and this brought on the 'almost' two fights but we prevailed with Gavin scoring on a bank shot off the goalie from beside the net to end it finally with a 8-5 win .
Apologies if I got some of the goals and assists wrong but the game sheet cane be a bit different .....otherwise nice win Ice Dogs (-:
