Back to back games are the hardest ones to play !!!
The first one in Tara against Bruce Penn and the second in Southampton against Saugeen Shores #2 were both tough ones and all over the place.
In Tara the game was full of intensity and after BP scored, Andrew fired a wrister just inside the blueline and it was tied 1-1 going into the second period.
JD scored on pass from Brandon and after giving them a goal, we headed to the third tied at 2-2.
At 12:51 BP went up 3-2 but we responded with Brock shooting like Laurie and scoring, followed by Brads point shot and tipped in by Conlan. At the 4:00 mark Bradley was hung out to dry and it was tied at 4's. Mitch then picked the only spot of net he could see and fired top shelf. BP came back again and tied it at 5's. Paul hits the net with his 'shot on the net', but after getting a hitting from behind penalty, we were down by one goal, and pulling our goalie didn't help as the puck slowly slid its way down the length of the ice pad and we ended going down in a ball of flames .... losing 8-6.
The next night against SS#2 we were a little sluggish playing in front of call up goalie Tyson. Chayse then passes over to Josh, who slaps it in going up 1-0.
The dynamic duo continued their great ways working together, as Conlan, in his Liberal ways slid the puck from around the net and BANG, Chayse slid it in. Later Conlan fired a pass in front of the net and right off of Joeys skate putting us up 3-1 after two periods.
The third had their shot go through Tysons 5-hole in this busy end to end, game ending period. At 2:06 left, SS#2 pulled their goalie and at 1:48 it was tied at 3-3.... to which the game ended!!!
Interesting finish I must say !!!
