A close loss and a great come from behind win sums up our weekend.
We played Kincardine to a close 2-1 loss but came back the next day in Walkerton behind 4-0 and won it at 5-4.
We had lots of chances against Kincardine Kinucks TD BIG butterfly goalie and trailing 1-0 going into the third period we tied it after Chayse slid a nice pass to Conlan who tipped in a sweet goal. Kincardine scored later in the period and on the PP we came close to tying it after Brock passed to Brandon who fired high off the glass. Then it was 'pull the goalie' time with under a minute to go and we almost tied it with 2 seconds to go ... but it wasn't meant to be after a hard fought 2-1 loss.
In Walkerton #1's barn we were trailing 4-0 going into the second period and our comeback began. First Andrew scored on a slap shot in the slot, assisted by Tie. Bradley decides to go all the way and wristed and banged in his own rebound making it 4-2 going into the third period. We continued pressing forward and after a pass from Conlan, Chayse scored in front, then some 'sparks' flew at the 6:34 mark which energized us to continue the comeback. After Mitch said "hey Brandon score some goals ", the Matrix scored on a nice backhand breakaway goal, and he won it with 1:31 to go to cap our comeback with a excellent 5-4 win !!!
