IceDogs Win in OT Again!
The Novice White IceDogs hit the ice in Paisley for a Saturday afternoon tilt with the Novice Black IceDogs.  The two teams were 1-1 against each other on the season and it would be no holds barred going into this one.

The warm spring-like weather must have had an impact on the IceDogs legs as both teams came out a little slow to start this one.  Dylan L. and Aiden S. had to make a few key saves in the first as their teams struggled to find their groove.  The first period would end 0-0.

The second period was more of the same as both teams checked relentlessly and didn't give the other team an inch.  The Black Team would catch a break midway through the frame when a shot banked in off an IceDog White player and into the net to give them the 1-0 lead.  Dylan L. held the fort the rest of the period as the Black Team kept coming but couldn't get that all important insurance marker.  The 2nd period would end up 1-0 IceDog Black.

The third period saw the IceDog White coaches make a few adjustments and put the lines through the blender as they tried to shake things up.  And it worked.  Jesse P. would gallop the length of the ice and knot things up at 1 as he rocketed one by the IceDog Black netminder.  With time winding down, the IceDog White team finally found their legs.  The ice was tilted for the reminder of the period with some great chances by Porter B. and Ashley L. but this one was heading to overtime....again!

Overtime started with a flurry of activity at both ends.  Both teams came close to ending it early in OT.   Jesse P would draw a penalty on a drive to the net and send the White squad to the power play.  The Black Team won the draw and cleared the puck but Waylon G. got to it first, made a dazzling spin move to elude a checker and feed a streaking Brayden P.  Brayden raced down the wing and fired a laser into the back of the net to give the White Team the win in front of another sell-out crowd!

This moves the IceDogs to 3-1 in the Playoff round robin with another game against the IceDog Black Team coming up this Tuesday in Chesley--6:00 puck drop.
