IceDogs Lose in Tough Game 1
The Novice White IceDogs hosted Game 1 of the Championship Series on Thursday night in T-Town.  The 'Dogs were coming in as underdogs but did plant a seed of doubt in the #1 Ranked Saugeen Shores Storm with a round robin win last week.

The IceDogs came out strong to start the game and had a few good chances to get the lead but a tough luck bounce at the blue line led to a broken play and a goal for the Storm.  Jesse P would knot things up after Cohen H. made a tremendous play to cause a Storm turnover.  The first period would end with the score tied 1-1.

Brayden P would take a Jesse P pass from behind the net and go roof daddy to get the 'Dogs the lead early in the 2nd.  The Storm were resilient though and again tied things up.  Jesse P would dart in alone after Brayden created a turnover and put the 'Dogs ahead again 3-2.  The Storm would catch another break and tie things up as the period came to a close.

The third period seemed like it was all IceDogs on the ice but it was the Storm that did all the scoring.  2 more goals would give them the 5-3 win and a 1-0 lead in the series.

Game #2 is Friday night at the Southampton Coliseum--6:00 puck drop!
