IceDog White Top IceDog Red
The Novice White IceDogs paid a visit to their IceDog Red cousins on Tuesday night.
These two teams are ramping up for playoffs and were looking to get their game rolling. There was a lot of tight checking in the opening few shifts but the Porter-Brayden-Jesse line eventually began to get their cycle game going. After a sustained effort in the Red Team's end, Porter would centre a pass that would bank off a Red defender and into the net for his first berry of the year. The first period would end with the White Team up 1-0.
Shortly into the second period, Waylon G. made a lovely play up the boards to spring Jake F. and Carter M. on two on one break. Carter would take the sweet feed from Jake and rip it into the back of the net (a la Brett Hull) and put the White 'Dogs up 2-0. Jesse P would take advantage of a Red turnover and wrist one into the back of the net for a 3-0 lead. Jesse and Brayden would work a little magic as the period came to an end and Jesse would finish the play off to give the White 'Dogs a 4-0 lead.
The White Team defence would take over in the third. Vivian, Quinn and Waylon did a great job moving the puck up the boards to the forwards and all the players worked hard to check the Red Team and help earn Dylan his second shutout of the year. Make the final 4-0 Ice Dog Whites.
