Attack Tame IceDogs
Fans were entertained to some fast paced exciting hockey on Thursday night as the IceDogs hosted the Owen Sound Jr. Attack.

The first period started with Vivian W. leading the IceDogs with an electrifying rush up the ice that led to a quality scoring chance.  Vivian was also hard-checking on the back-check negating quite a few Attack rushes as the IceDogs tried to find their legs.  The Attack would eventually break through with a roof job that just eluded Dylan L. to put them up 1-0.  Jesse P and Brayden P would work a picture perfect give and go to tie things up at 1 as the first period came to a close.

The second period saw the IceDogs take the lead when Jesse and Brayden worked the puck down low behind the Attack net.  Brayden would bank one off a Attack defender and into the back of the net to give the IceDogs the a slim one goal lead.  The Attack continued to check hard as the IceDogs were spreading the puck around, making several highlight reel plays.  The Attack net minder was finding his groove and was turning the IceDogs away.  The period would end with the IceDogs leading 2-1.

The third period started with the ice still tilted decidedly in the IceDogs favour but it was the Attack that would score to knot things up at 2.  Goaltender Dylan L. was beginning to see some more rubber but was equal to the task, even stopping one with his head!  The Attack began to even the play and would score on a scramble play to take the lead 3-2.  In typical IceDog White fashion, they would pour on the pressure and pepper the Attack goalie, drawing a penalty in the process.  But, the Attack made several goal line stands as the buzzer sounded and would take this one 3-2.

Sometimes there are wins on scoreboard and sometimes there are wins in your heart and this one definitely was the latter as the IceDogs played a complete game and have some things to build on as they prepare to visit their IceDog cousins (the Red Team) next Tuesday in Chesley.
