Tough Luck in Hanover for PeeWee LL IceDogs
The AEMHA PeeWee LL IceDogs were in Hanover for a date with the Falcons on Saturday.  The IceDogs were fresh off a great tournament showing and were ready to kick off the rest of the regular season in style.

The Hanover Falcons were League Champions last season and the IceDogs proved right away that they weren't to be taken lightly.  While the Falcons had the territorial advantage early, the IceDogs were relentlessly checking and once they found their legs, they didn't look back.  The rest of the first period had the 'Dogs playing in the Falcon end and testing the Falcon 'tender with some quality opportunities.  The entire defence unit of Colby, Austin, Nayal, Dominick and Daemyn were leading the offensive charge with tremendous passes to spring the IceDog forwards on the attack.  Despite the lopsided play (in favour of the IceDogs) the score remained scoreless after one.

In the 2nd period, the IceDogs continued their electric play.  First and hard on pucks, the IceDogs finally caught a break.  With Ryan P. causing a turnover, Larkin G. read the play.  She collected the loose puck and fed Colby on the point.  Colby's blistering blast would deflect off Dylan P stick in front and the find back of the net.  The IceDogs finally had the lead 1-0.  They continued to pour it on and couldn't net another and the score would be 1-0 at the end of two periods of play.

The third period started with the IceDogs skating, passing and checking just like Coach Chris had asked.  Some unfortunate and unlucky bounces led to some Falcon goals and they would skate away with a lucky 3-1 win at the end.  Despite the loss on the scoreboard, the IceDogs were in fine form today and this one felt very much like a win.  They dictated the game on many levels and look primed and ready for a playoff push.
