Ice Dogs Battle the Storm
The Arran Elderslie Ice Dogs Novice LL White travelled to Southampton on Sunday January 29th to battle the Saugeen Shores Storm 2.
The game got off to an exciting start when George I walked the puck from end to end for the Ice Dog's to score the first goal of the game. Halfway through the first period Saugeen Shores came back to score two quick goals - giving the Ice Dogs something to fight for!
At about three minutes into the second period Saugeen Shores scored a third goal, which was quickly answered with a top-notch goal by Hudson J, assisted by Simon J, bringing the Ice Dogs back into the game at 2-3.
With only 1:23 left on the score clock in the second period, Chris P, assisted by George I, slipped the puck through a 4-inch gap between the goalie's skate and the post, tying up the game 3-3.
The third period saw both teams fighting hard to take the win. Our Ice Dogs played strong with a high number of shots on net, and goalie Karden C worked hard to keep Saugeen Shores at bay, but neither team could break the 3-3 tie.
