Novice LL White vs SS Storm LL 2 Game 2 of 2
On Sunday March 5th, Arran Elderslie Novice LL White travelled to Southampton to face Saugeen Shores LL 2 in a "win and they are in" scenario.

The Ice Dogs were ready to the Storm right from the first puck drop when the line of Chris P; Landon M; Hudson J; George I and Braden N caught Saugeen Shores off guard as Chris P netted one 31 seconds into the game.
There were some great chances exchanged throughout the period at each end.  It was Calista H strapping on the pads for the Ice Dogs, doing an amazing job filling in for Karden C and keeping the game 1-0 thru 1.
Early in the second, Saugeen Shores were unable to get the puck deep in the Ice Dogs end as Simon J and Ella M held their ground on the blue line and created a scramble in the neutral zone.  Nathan A and Randi Lynn J dug hard for the puck and it popped free to Chris P who was able to deke his way in and wrist it past the SS Shores netminder.  Nearing the end of the 2nd period the Ice Dogs kept working together and battling for the loose pucks.  Again it was Chris P who picked up the puck that was chipped out of the Ice Dogs zone past the SS defence and blasted the puck right over the net.  Not giving up, Chris P circled the net and picked up his own rebound and flicked the puck up and off the SS goalie and into the net.
In the third period Vivian W battled hard creating loose pucks giving Lucas S the opening he needed to pickup one of those pucks and work his way in for a great shot that found the back of the net.
It was another great game by LL White with Chris P earning a hat trick and Calista H recording a shutout.  The team worked together and proved that no matter who their linemate is, that they can get the job done.
Great team effort!  Way to go Ice Dogs!!
