Ice Dogs chase the Ripley Wolves out of Tara.
The best of three series started last night and we came up with a 3-2 win.
In the first period the game was a quick back and forth game with both teams going end to end. Then, in the second, right off the face off, Mitch VV raced up the middle, through two defencemen and fired it in the bottom corner. Later Tie passed up to a streaking Brandon, and he put another goal through the five hole. Brandon again picked up the puck at our blueline and flew down the boards and leaned into their defenceman, cutting to the net and stuffed it in the corner. This put us up 3-1 going into the third, where awesome Lawson kept us in the game, especially at the 10:10 mark with a great sliding save in close. At the 2:09 mark Ripley pulled their goalie and they scored after a mad scramble with 45:5 seconds to go. They pulled their goalie again but we defended Lawson till the buzzer rang to preserve a 3-2 win.
