Another 'interesting' game in Shallow Lake!!!
This was another 'nail biter'game right to the end as Bantam LL Ice Dogs squeaked out a 3-2 win over Lakers.
Tyler started things off in the first, going 'end to end' and fired a shot that the goalie saved but to our advantage the puck came back out and off the Lakers defencemans leg and right into the net, and the period ended tied 1-1.
The second period was our usual 'stinker' period and Lawson was his 'great' self, keeping the game tied.
The third period had everything in it, and the line of Conlan, Parker, and Todd scored after a mad scramble all around the net, and Todd ending it with a goal. Later Todd and Conlan came in and Conlan shot it soooo hard in the top corner that the puck came out faster then it went in!!! After that Shallow Lake decided to pull their goalie with 1:27 left in the third, and it worked as they scored at the 1:04 mark, making it a 3-2 game. They again pulled their goalie with :53 seconds to go, and and to make matters worse, we drew a penalty with 5 seconds to go .... but the hockey gods were with us and we eked out a hard fought 3-2 win.
In 'Ice Dog' we trust !!!
