Back to back games proves we can skate with the 'BIG boys' !!!
Scores of 7-1 and 4-2 against powerhouse Kincardine #2 showed us that even in loses, our Bantam LL team is a playoff team to look out for.
Down by two goals early in the first game on the big ice surface in Kincardine, proved to be our downfall, but as the game came to an end, we learned from our mistakes and Todd scored our only goal on a nice wrister just inside the blueline... and we moved on to the next game in Paisley.
This game on the smaller ice surface was a total turn-a-round for us, as the first two periods was a tight checking affair, and we were only down by two goals with Lawson supplying great goaltending. The third period had Brandon, right after the face off, fire a shot that Conlan tipped in and we were making a game of it with hard teamwork. Later Mitch VV blocked a shot and skated between their two defencemen and raced down the ice and ripped a shot off of the post and crossbar to make it a 4-2 game late in the period. After a timeout and with 1:42 to go, we pulled Lawson for an extra attacker, but we couldn't get any closer. This game showed us that we really have come a long way this season in working hard as a group to prove to every team that we are a team to watch out for.
