The Bantam LL Ice Dogs played their best game of the year with a nail biting 2-1 win.
We were firing on all cylinders last night and this team showed us what needs to be done to go far in the playoffs in a game against the Kincardine Kinucks #1
This team was 13-1 in the regular season and in the first period it showed us why, as they peppered us with lots of shots, but Lawson was up to the task keeping the period scoreless. The second period was a little different as we started to take control of the game and it showed as Tyler passed over to Mitch VV, who then fired a goal in the top corner. The small ice at the Tara arena seem to play in out favour, as both teams went 'end to end' and the period ended with us up 1-0. In the third, Kincardine tied it up, but late in the period Brandon decided to score the game winning goal unassisted and despite calling a time out and pulling their goalie with 17.2 seconds to go, we held off Kincardine to win our best game of the year.
