A 6-1 win was the perfect game for the Bantam LL Ice Dogs to head to Clifford for a Saturday tournament !!!
The team went to Southampton to play the Saugeen Shores Storm last night and put together a complete hockey game that the coaches have been practicing into their heads.
The cold arena there quickly warmed up with our 'team on fire' attitude in full force, and Brock started it off with a hard shot on net and Tyler pouncing on the rebound and firing the puck in the top corner. Soon after Tyler passed to Connor, who 'one timed' the puck in with the second goal, and not long after that Todd added another goal with a wrap-a-round putting us up 3-0 going into the second period. This period had the teams score one goal each with Tyler screaming in from the red line and scoring on his own rebound. The third period produced two more goals for the Ice Dogs, starting with Hayden taking a point shut and Todd tipping it in ... nice redirect!!! Connor ended the game with a goal after a crazy 'scramble' around the net, showing the team that with hard work, heads up passing and lots of teamwork, this team is getting the message from the coaches that working together and playing smart hockey will get us great results on the ice and off the ice too.
Clifford... here we come !!!
