Lots of games means lots of driving means lots of good games !!!
After going to Tiverton (snowy again) to play Kincardine #1, we came home with a 3-1 loss, with only Mitch VV providing our lone goal, but we redeemed ourselves with back-to-back wins against Walkerton #1 and 2.
Against Walkerton #1 we started off with a bouncy shot and goal by Todd just outside the blue line. Parker then fed Conlan with a nice pass and in the top shelf it went. In the second period, Todd again scored after digging the puck out from beside the net and the period ended 3-1. The third period we kept scoring with great goalie saves by Lawson, as Mitch K fired a shot at the net and Conlan made a beauty tip in. Later Mitch VV came in on goal and slid a pass to Tyler, who fired it in low for another goal. The game ended on a weird note because after Parker scored and we were serving a penalty, Walkerton decided to pull their goalie down 6-1, but Brandon spoiled their 'game plan' as he slid the puck in the open net with .2 seconds left in the game, making it a 7-1 final.
Walkerton #2 was up next on our 'radar' Sunday night and Lawson was unbeatable in the first period, making many unbelievable saves. In the second period, Conner blocked a shot and Tyler skated all the way down the ice and deked the pants off their goalie, and later Brock took a shot, and the rebound came to Brandon who scored and we were up 2-1 heading into the third period. These two guys hooked up again for a goal, but this time Brandon passed to Brock who broke in alone and roofed it. The game ended with us 'buying' into the coaches system (unlike the Leafs), as Conlan made a sweet pass to Parker, who tipped the puck in and we won 4-1.
