After Game Four, The Lakers No More
In the fourth and final game of the series with the Shallow Lake Lakers, the Ice Dogs worked hard, played together and racked up a fine total on the scoreboard.  A big IceDog Howl in Paisley, 8 to 3.

The Lakers were in Paisley to tie up this series and in the first period, it looked like that might happen.  Goalies on both teams were having a great start to the game.  The Dogs would be first on the board with a goal at 4:54 by Conor.  The Lakers would respond with their first goal a few seconds later.  And the Dogs answered THAT with goal number two at 4:30, with a beauty pass from Mitch to Spencer who planted it.  2 to 1.  This period would not finish with this score however.  The SL team tied it up with .03 on the clock!

The next period would be just as exciting.  The IceDogs defence has being doing great work all series and it is fitting that Dan started it all off with a goal just three minutes into the period.  At 7:42, Mitch would get his first of the game with some great hustle. Despite being down by a couple goals, the Lakers were not going to give up.  IceDogs pulled a penalty and the Lakers took advantage to make it 4 to 3.  About a minute later, the Dogs were back to a two goal lead, when Conor received his second of the night at 3:57.  The fans were hoping for a hattrick in this game.   But they would have to wait until the Zamboni was done with the half time show to find out if it would happen.

The IceDogs have had the best third (and fourth) periods in this series with the Lakers.  And this game was no different!  Tyson, who has been awesome all season, and his defence teams of Corson, Clayton, Brad and Danny simply shut the door to the Lakers getting any more than three goals in this game.    And the forwards picked up the pace and brought three more goals.  Mitch got his second early in the period at 13:72 and two skaters were very close to hattricks.  Brett and the other members of the Blondie line, Chase and Will brought some great moments but Brett sealing the deal with goal 7 was pretty fine!  Final goal of this series was by Braydon showing fine work with the lumber.  8!  Lakers were done.  Final score was 8 to 3.  Some mighty fine teamwork has been seen all season and it paid off!  Good work, Dogs!
