Battle of the Dogs!!!
Well Ice Dog fans, it was a great game between the novice teams!!  One player was quoted as saying "what do you mean we have to play our friends?" Now, this was before the game !  There was a lot of "ahhhh's and ohhhh"s" coming from the stands by both teams.

It is great when as a team, we are lucky to have a couple of players who have had the pads on before.  With Wyatt out sick ( feel better soon buddy), Nathan agreed to go between the pipes.  Thanks Nathan, that is showing awesome team work!! Nathan was kept busy, facing a large number of shots, making super saves, at times from the stands, we could not see the puck either but you held on tight until that whistle was blown!  Way to go Nathan!!!  With not all players there, our "D" were skating with 3 players and they all did a fantastic job, Austin, Halle and Grace were solid on the blue line again!  Keeping those other Dogs out of our end at times was not a easy task, but you all rose to the challenge.  Kolby was on-fire with his skating ability!!  He was like here, there and everywhere in no time flat!  That's awesome work.  Joshua was digging hard for that puck and came out with it more times than not!  Great work along those boards. So close to a hat-trick Joshua!  Ryan was always in the right spot, he must be watching the Leafs win, and is picking up on where their players hang around the opposition's net to score.  Nice goal Ryan!!  Tori was improved in all areas of the game!!  She is skating hard and making great plays for her teammates.  Keep up the hard work.  George was busy making the mad-rushes down the ice and had great break-away chances, just maybe carry the puck alittle more before shooting on the net. You never know when it will slide in.  Fantastic work.  Tina was playing her "off wing"  and did a super job.  Her passes to teammates were right on the tape, way to go! Keep practicing.
All Dogs from both teams played excellent, exciting hockey and deserve a hockey helmet salute!  You sure show the fans and teammates how much you enjoy the game!!
Next up for the whites, practice Wednesday night in Tara at pm.  Hope that both Wyatt and JJ  are back to join us!
Keep your stick on the ice and remember to watch the referee!
