2015 started with a winter blast
Our 2015 season sure started with a nasty blast from Mother Nature.  However, that did not stop this team from enjoying the love for hockey.

On Sunday, January 5, we traveled up to Shallow Lake to meet up with the Lakers.  It was a exciting, fast pace game, played hard by both teams.  The pressure was on and everyone skated and played their positions well, I do believe this was our last outing before Mother Nature put ahold on everything!

On Saturday, January 10, we held our home tournament in Tara.  Again, the weather proved to be alittle hard to handle, but in true Ice Dog spirit, we prevailed and for the most part the tournament was a success. A couple of small holes to fill but thanks to local help no worries.  I would like to thank all parents and helpers from both Ice Dog teams for all of their help in planning and organizing this day for all players!!  A hockey helmet salute!! Our head tournament organizer, Cathy has received positive comments from other teams on the day, way to go Dogs!!

I didn't really get a chance to see all of the games, but I can say that every game played during the day, ended in close scores, to me that is true hockey!!  All teams should be proud on how they played, displaying proper sportsmanship both on and off the ice and truly had fun!!

Our day ended well for both Ice Dog teams, the Reds played in the consolation game vs Saugeen Shores and had a 2-1 loss.  The Whites played in the championship game vs Walkerton and had a 2-1 loss.  Nothing wrong with either game or score!!  Awesome job Ice Dogs!!

Next up of our whites, Tuesday night game in Desboro at 7pm!
Keep your stick on the ice and remember to pass the puck, we are all on the same team!
