Strong showing in Wiarton
It was a beautiful afternoon for a drive up to Wiarton, as our whites visited the Predators. The game was an excellent back and forth skating match, with both goal tenders playing strong in between the pipes.
The game was evenly matched between these two teams, it was a fast race to the puck each time. It was great to see all players from each team having fun and truly enjoying the sport of hockey. At times, it seems like we lose that part of the game, as we all get caught up in the score and who scored what goal. Our players, just want to play hockey because they love it!! Anyways, back to the game recap, Nathan made some awesome saves during his time in the net! The pad kick out, was the game saver, way to go Nathan!! Our solid defense of Halle, Gracie, Austin and Wyatt kept the Predators out of our end, wow, you guys and gals work so well together! Keep up the great job! Wyatt must be working on his slap-shot at home because he let some go and I know that I would not want to be in-front of that!! Kolby, Ryan, George, Tori, JJ, Tina and Joshua were amazing again during this game. There was lots of passing to each other, team spirit and encouragement, digging for that puck and near misses on the net!! Keep on working hard and you will be rewarded for your success. Final score Ice Dogs 4 Predators 2. WAY TO GO TEAM!!
Next up for our whites, Tuesday night game at 7:00pm at the Plex in Port Elgin. Make sure you get lots of rest, as it is a big ice surface!!
