Big Win For the IceDogs
The Novice Rep IceDogs headed over to Keady for their second meeting of the year against the Rebels from TDCMHA.

With this game being the first time on the ice after the Christmas Break, there was a lot of excitement and energy which was apparent right from the first faceoff.  Both teams came out skating hard and moving the puck.  The play was back and forth until the 7 minute mark of the first when Ethan S. broke loose and fired one in for the IceDogs to go up by one.

In the second the IceDogs attempted to break the game wide open, however found themselves facing a hot goalie once again.  The Rebel goalie faced shot after shot and continued to turn them aside.  Ethan S. went in all alone and wired a shot that was labelled for the top corner only to be thwarted by the Rebel goalie who made a spectacular glove save.  Near the end of the second the line of Gryphon B. Owen M. and Karden C. caught fire.  Karden C. took a pass from Owen M. and buried one past the Rebel goalie.  Then 12 seconds later Owen M. puts one in short side.  The Rebels were not ready to give up yet.  The third period, the Rebels had a breakaway and put one past IceDog Peyton L. ending his bid for a shutout. Then with less than a minute left the puck gets back to the point and on the stick of Braden N. who then fires a laser off the post and into the net.  The IceDogs pull of a nice 4-1 win over the Rebels.

The defense played well controlling their end, moving the puck up to the forwards and holding the line in the offensive zone.  Alek F. had a couple of nice rushes up the ice. The forwards were short one man and it was fun to watch them all play with different line mates and different positions.

Great game and was fun to watch.
