Hoping to beat the impending storm the IceDogs traveled to Keady Saturday morning to face off with the
TCDMHA Rebels.
The IceDogs knew they would need to step up their game as the Rebels get stronger and faster with every game.
Kiernan L. got things started with a backhanded goal off a nice pass from
Emmett J.
Emmett J. snuck in a goal of his own just a minute or so later. Not wanting to be left out
Ryan D. earned not one but 2 goals before the end of the first period with assists by
Kayden W. and
Cayden H. leaving the score at 4-0 IceDogs at the end of the first.
The Rebels had enough of this and held the IceDogs back throughout the second period.
By the Third period the Rebels were fighting back hard. Just 3 minutes in Rebel Austin C. snuck one in the top corner of Tyson's net. Putting the Rebels on the board.
Kayden W. decided the IceDogs needed an insurance goal and delivered with just two and a half minutes remaining. The Rebels couldn't just give the game away Rebel Aiden C. put one more away for the Rebels before the game was over. Final Score 5-2 IceDogs.
