The IceDogs Novice Rep team started Spring off with a bang on Saturday in Ayton when they shut out the West Grey Warriors in Game One of their final playoff series.
Going into this playoff series the IceDogs could have been called the Underdogs having never won a game against the Warriors. But who doesn't love cheering for the underdog? The IceDogs did not disappoint their fans. They came out with a vengeance right from the start. The entire first period was nailbitingly scoreless.
The second period brought more nailbiting action at both ends of the ice. It looked like it would be another scoreless period when
Emmett J. beat the Warriors goaltender with an assist from his linemate
Kiernan L.
The IceDogs continued to get multiple scoring opportunities in the third period but were unable to increase the gap between them and the Warriors. Goaltender
Tyson L. had an amazing game earning his shutout and helping the IceDogs get their first win against the Warriors.

The puck drops for game 2 of this series in Tara at 7:00 pm Wednesday March 25th.
