Bruce Peninsula puts up a tough fight against Ice Dog Red.
The Pee Wee LL Red Dogs squeaked out a hard fought 4-3 win as Bruce Peninsula goes toe to toe with us Sunday afternoon in Wiarton.
The game started with us all over them in the first, as we fired lot's of shots at their goalie. Mistakes though, cost us to let in two goals, and we were down 2-0 after the first period.
T,he 2nd period had us doing more passes and Todd J scored a point shot which deflected off of something on it's way into the net. Shortly after, with Austin taking the body, Tie J passed a nice feed to a wide open Brianna, and the game was tied 2-2. Then after a BP goal, Mitch V V scored a short handed goal in the top shelf, and we headed into the third tied 3-3, with bodies starting to fly everywhere in a physical game.
The third period was full of give-a-ways, which made it very interesting until Mitch V V finished off the scoring with another top corner game winning goal (after our defence kept the puck in with a great play). Tatum made a fantastic save with 1:07 left in the game, and we pulled off an interesting 4-3 win.
