The Red Ice Dogs took on the Bruce Peninsula Predators in Paisley and it was quite a nail-biter right into OT, where this game was decided with a good result.
After a pre-game talk about "treat rewards" for goals, on the ride to the game, Mitch V V started the scoring with Austin banking the puck off the boards, where Mitch picked up the puck and scored on a break-a-way ( assists to Austin and Brianna). After a BP goal, Mitch V V scored another goal almost the same way, but with Jordan assisting.
The second period slowed down, with us giving up another BP goal, resulting in some of our bad habits creeping back into our game.
The third period was a different story, with Tatum providing some excellent goaltending, and with BP up 3-2, a penalty was called against them with 1:27 left in the game. We then pulled Tatum, and after a mad scramble in the corner, Mitch V V came out and fired the puck in with 14.9 seconds left in the game to tie it 3-3 (assist Jordan) Yaaaa!!!
Then at 5:46 in OT, Jordan dug the puck to Mitch V V, who banked the puck off of the BP goalie, and as the puck wobbled over the goal line, we and the Ice Dogs jumped for joy, as this game was a game to remember.
