After the last three games, more work is in order.
Three games in the last five days was tough for the Red Ice Dogs as we ended up on the wrong end of the score sheet.
The first game in Mount Forest was a pretty good game, as we skated well with them all game, and Jordan scored a nice three way passing goal in the first period.
In the third period, Jordan scored again on the PP to tie it 2-2, and later on, Hayden scored one between the legs to tie it at three. But with only 31 seconds to go, Mount Forest scored the late goal to end the game in a 4-3 loss.
Game two in Tiverton was another close game, but as the last bunch of games has proven, our touch around the net has been very sparse, with goals at a all-time low. This game ended with a 3-0 loss, but Tatum played very well in goal.
Game three last night against our arch rivals Ice Dog Whites was again another hotly contested game, with a lot of -between the blueline- play but not too many shots on goal. Tatum was doing well in goal, and we finally got a goal in the second by Tie.
The third period saw us finally starting to take the body and getting INTO the play as a team on a mission. The game ended in a 3-1 loss, but we need to start every game, and all three periods, as if this was our last game to win the Stanley Cup. If we do that, everything else on the ice ( passing, shooting on net, scoring goals ) will fall into place and we will come back home with a win or at least a good feeling about the game.
