U13 REP, U13, 2023-2024 (Arran-Elderslie Minor Hockey)

To quote Coach Brent "If you had told me in October this team would finish the season at the OMHA SEMI Finals, then I'd say where do I sign!"

This past weekend was filled with back to back action, Icedogs hosted the Drayton Defenders on Saturday March 16. The Tara Barn was full, the tunes were pumping, the stage was set, your U13 Reps ready to go for a noon puck drop in game one of this WOAA Tier 2 Championship series.

On March 3, on a beautiful spring like evening your U13s packed their bags and headed to Drayton for the 4th game of playoffs. Butterflies in the stomach, shaky hands, sweaty palms, the racing heart, enough about the fans lets get to the game!

Playdowns, a whole new beast in the sport that these kids live, eat, and breathe! Its anyones game, it comes down to who wants it most. Our run up with the B centres I think have prepared us well and given us the extra drive we need to compete for the top spot, and after our first 3 games we are sitting in 1st. It's a great spot to be in but we know how quickly that can change. The boys can't get soft or take a night off. There is a lot of hockey left and they have their sights on the OMHAs.

Icedogs were busy this past week having 3 games in 5 days.  Game 1 took place Wednesday February 7, 2024, This game was rather unique as we played in one of our home arenas, but as the visiting team.
