Ice Dogs beat the Mad Dogs

Your U13 Ice Dogs travelled to Palmerston to face a top team the Minto Mad Dogs in the Maroon division. The Mad Dogs came out and peppered our goalie Aiden S but he held us in there until we found our legs. 0-0 after the first with the Ice Dogs gaining momentum the last half. The second was all Ice Dogs as we started to really pour on the pressure and causing turnovers. Porter B made a perfect outlet pass to Jesse P and him and Aden M were off. Jesse broke in with speed and Aden hung high for the pass. Aden went top shelf and it was 1-0. Then 3 minutes later on almost a carbon copy goal it was Jesse P to Aden M and it was 2-0. Mad Dogs are a good team and did not quite and came back with a nice goal and it was 2-1. But 15 seconds later Porter B sprung Jesse P and a top shelf job and it was 3-1 entering the second intermission. The Ice Dogs ran into penalty trouble early in the third and the Mad Dogs capitalized to make it 3-2. But that was it, the Ice Dogs locked it down the rest of the way and any chance was an easy save for Aiden S as he was also locked in the zone. Goals by Quinn C, Carter M and Landon S sealed the deal in another complete game win 6-2 over a tough opponent.
