Aden M scores 5 to lead Ice Dogs

The Ice Dogs travelled to Keady to take on a hardworking team in the TCDMHA Rebels. The first period started great as we held most of the play, and Aden M scored 2 assisted by Jesse P 2 times. The Rebel goalie Aden M made several in close saves to keep this game from getting away before the Rebels woke up. The Rebels scored one of their own.and it was 2-1 us after the first. The Rebels came out flying in the second and took total control of the play, but Aden S made several great saves to hold us in it. It wasn't for lack of effort, but more sloppy play by the Ice Dogs with missed passes and assignments. The Rebels tied it up at 2-2 before Porter B dug out a loose puck to Jesse P and over to Aden M in the slot who completed his hat trick. 3-2 us after the second. The Ice Dogs were told to keep it simple in the third and start winning some battles for the puck again. It was better, but the Rebels also kept up their hard work and tied it up 3-3. Then Aden M once again with another top shelf beauty from Jesse P and Bronson B and it was 4-3 us. We kept up the pressure at this point and kept them to the outside. Aden M collected a loose puck at center and walked into the Rebel zone and fired a hard low shot for his fifth goal of the game that sealed the win 5-3 for the Ice Dogs. It was not pretty at times, and we got outplayed for more of the game then the coaches liked, but we persevered for the win.
