U13 REP Win big over the Lakers

The U13 Rep Ice Dogs were coming off a lopsided win against the BP Predators, and the coaches were a little worried that the players would not be ready for the challenge that the Lakers would bring. Well after the first couple of shifts did not go our way, these Ice Dogs turned the intensity dial to the MAX. After two Laker penalties we capitalized on the PP with Aden M scoring assisted by Porter B. 1-0 after the first. Then Jesse P with 2 and Porter B with 1 in the second and it was 4-0 heading into the second intermission. The Ice Dogs were relentless on the forecheck and backcheck, and our rock-solid D (Owen W, Bronson B, Waylon G, Landon S and Quinn C) played almost perfect defense with very little mistakes with the right pass at the right time. The third period we came out with three quick ones, and it seemed to really suck the life out of the Lakers. They scored three late ones, and we scored two more with one of the end-to-end variety from Waylon G. This was a very complete win (9-3) against a very good opponent.
