IceDogs Rolling in Round Robin Play
Your u13 Rep IceDogs hosted the Listowel Cyclones in a Saturday matinee. Fresh off a team building win in Listowel on Wednesday night, the IceDogs got to watch their U11 brothers and sisters earn a big win and it must have pumped the boys up!
Things were close in the early going, as Listowel played a tight checking game to stymie the IceDog attack. Owen M. would snipe a beauty after flying down the left wing but the IceDogs gave that one back after a scramble in front of the IceDog net. It was 1-1 after 1.
Listowel was playing with a short bench and the relentless work ethic and tireless forecheck of the IceDogs proved too much in the 2nd. The IceDogs would pot 9 goals in the 2nd and then 4 more in the third. Most of their goals were team effort and passing plays that led to shots on nets and there were several outstanding plays that didn't go in the net. Lots of good habits and puck touches for everyone so the IceDogs are full of confidence heading into their final round robin game vs Mitchell on Tuesday.
