IceDogs Weather the Cyclones
Your U13 Rep IceDogs are on a bit of a roll as of late.  Solid team play, strong defensive play, timely goaltending and balanced scoring have the IceDogs on run of W's in Round Robin Playoff action.  On this night, the IceDogs were off to visit the Cyclones.

Coach P and his staff have preached winning habits all season long--the little things that make a big difference.  And the IceDogs proved they were listening with a great team effort on Wednesday night.

Ethan S. opened up the scoring with a dandy deke (with Carter M. going hard to the net) but the Cyclones knotted things up with a pretty nice rush of their own.  Jesse P. would work the boards and get the puck back to Karden C. whose cannonading blast was stopped but Brayden P. deposited the puck into the net for a 2-1 IceDog lead at the first break.

The IceDog broke the game open in the 2nd with 5 unanswered goals.  Ethan would collect 3 while Owen M. and Aden M. would pot one each (Aden's was a beauty on a lovely setup by rushing D-man Alek F.)  It was all IceDogs at the 2nd intermission.

During the flood, the IceDogs vowed to keep the good team play going and despite not scoring a lot in the 3rd (the Listowel tendy was outstanding all game long), they made great passes to exit their zone and set up teammates in the slot.  Karden C. would get the only goal (on a great pass from Aden M.) and the IceDogs would head for home with another W in the bank.

It was solid team play from Goalie to Defence to Forwards and that's what it's going to take the rest of the way if the IceDogs want to continue their winning ways.
