U13 Rep IceDogs Get Big Win in Listowel
Your U13 Rep IceDogs have entered the busiest part of their season and it continued as they headed to Perth County to tangle with the Listowel Cyclones.
The IceDogs are on a mission for December--develop great habits. If Wednesday's game is any indication, they are taking it seriously.
With Tara goaltending legend Trevor A. reffing this game, the IceDogs came out red-hot. Short, quick passes, getting open and first to the puck were IceDog hallmarks and they did it to perfection on this night. The goals came fast and furious and there are too many great plays to mention. Scoring goals in this game were:
Owen M - 3
Carter M - 3
Ethan S - 2
Karden C - 1
Brayden P - 1
Waylon G - 1 (* this one gets a star with a great battle at centre ice, leading to Waylon breaking in and sniping top cheddar, after being moved to play centre no less!)
Porter B - 1
Owen W, Alek F and Jesse P picked up a pair of assists each (Owen now leads all IceDog D-men with 10 assists in 11 games!)
Aiden S. picked up his 3rd shutout on the season.
Despite the lop-sided score, the IceDogs played entertaining hockey and kept a lot of good habits which will benefit them as they enter a run of 3 games in 4 nights.
Next up, the IceDogs are back in Perth County to try their hand with the squad from Mitchell (the birth place of NHL Legend, Howie Morenz).
