Atom Rep IceDogs Fall to Huron-Bruce
The AEMHA Atom Rep IceDogs hosted the Huron-Bruce Blizzard in T-Town on Tuesday night.  Huron-Bruce is one of the top teams in the league and this would be a good test for the IceDogs if they want to be considered amongst the league's elite.

The first period saw the IceDogs come out a bit sluggish and they were hemmed in their own end for large parts of the period.  IceDog Tendy Owen W was other-worldly as he turned the Blizzard aside with several hi-light reel saves.  Despite being outshot and outplayed, the IceDogs had a 0-0 tie at the first intermission with lots of game left to play.

The second period the IceDogs evened out the play a bit and they began to earn some chances.  Huron-Bruce plays a great transition game however and when the IceDogs weren't sharp with their passes, they generated chances of their own and eventually found the net behind Owen with 2 quick strikes.  With time ticking down, the IceDogs continued their indifferent play and survived the period only down 2 goals.

After an impassioned plea by Coach Chad to bring a better effort, the newly annointed "Chesley Three Line" of George-Landon-Carter got the IceDogs on the board.  Carter dug out a puck in his own end and flipped a clearing pass to George.  George would drive the net and Landon would bang in a rebound for the goal.  Owen M-Brayden and Lucas would almost tie things up shortly after that with a strong shift but were turned away.  Karden-Ethan and Austin would try their luck shortly after and despite some hard work, couldn't get the puck to the net.  Huron-Bruce would survive the push of the IceDogs and get another goal to regain their 2 goal lead.  With time ticking down, the IceDogs would make one last push but it was too little, too late and the IceDogs would ultimately fall 3-1.

The IceDogs know they have to play faster, stronger hockey when they play host to several local teams in their Annual Atom Tournament this weekend.
