After a nerve racking, close series with the Mount Forest Rams, AEMHA Pee Wee LL White team won the WOAA Pee Wee Championship!
With both teams so equally matched in skills and teamwork, this series required an extra game to determine the champion. Going into the sixth game, both teams had 2 wins and a tie and equal amount of goals. It was anyone's game!
Perhaps with the light mood in the dressing room, and a little bit of dancing, the ice dogs were pumped to just go out and have fun. Win or lose, they made it this far and hockey was almost finished. So, with smiles on their faces, and determination in their heart, they hit ice ready to play!
Both teams were tied after the second intermission...it seemed to be a common theme in this series. But we came out in the third and decided right then and there that it was time to finish this tight series off. So, we added three more goals, just to give our fans (and coaches) nerves a break.
The final score was 5-2 and the Arran-Elderslie Pee Wee LL White Ice Dogs came out on top of 30 teams to be named WOAA Champions.
What a great season kids! This is quite an accomplishment and you did it with teamwork, determination and heart. You should all be proud of yourselves!
