Whew! I think we burned off some of that Halloween candy...
Despite being short players, tired from late night festivities and coming off a sugar high, the Pee Wee LL White pulled out another win!
The first period saw the Ice Dogs control the play with Saugeen Shores #1 barely able to keep it out of their end. Despite all the action we weren't able to find the net and ended the period 0-0.
We came alive, or perhaps the sugar just kicked in, when we saw our first goal, scored by Kaiden S. early in the second period. Unfortunately, the Storm answered back with a late goal and it was 1-1 at the second intermission.
Being short two players, we really could have used that intermission flood, but it was not to be. Tired and sluggish, the Ice Dogs let one pass and the Storm potted the go-ahead goal early in the third.
The sugar crash was about to hit hard when out of nowhere Tatum E. made some sort of a superhero glove save and the crowd went wild! Pumped and ready to go, the Ice Dogs dug deep as Conlan K. roofed one over the goalies glove. Less than 30 seconds later, Austin H. found himself in the right place at the right time and had the Ice Dogs up by one. The puck stayed in our end for awhile, but Tatum E. was cool and collected and kept the Storm at bay. Brandon P. added a late goal and the game ended with a 4-2 win.
Great game Ice Dogs, I think we all deserve a Halloween treat after that game!
