Atom LL White Finish the Season with a Win
The Atom LL White Ice Dogs headed to Keady for a date with the TCDMHA Rebels on Thursday night. The Ice Dogs were trying to finish the regular season strong but these Rebels had been playing some really good hockey lately and came out playing hard.
The Ice Dogs and Rebels played some back and forth hockey in the first period and neither team could nick the twine in the early going. Daemyn E. would change that with a tap in goal after some pretty passing from Lucas W and Larkin G.
Larkin would go back to work early in the second period with a couple of identical goals. Racing down her left wing, she would rip two low, hard shots by a startled Rebels goalie. Both her goals were set up by some nice passing by Lucas W. The line of Daemyn E., Larkin G. and Lucas W. were all over the Rebel zone in this one and peppered the Rebel goalie with shot after shot.
They would hit the scoresheet again in the third period as Daemyn would get another tap in goal after a nifty set up from Larkin and Lucas. Ryan P. would close out the scoring with a ricochet shot off a Rebel defender after Tash B. made a nice play to keep the puck in the Rebel endzone.
The 'Dogs finish their regular season with a 20-0-0 record! An unbelievable season from an outstanding bunch of kids. The only thing better than their perfect record is their attitude and commitment to team play and hard work. Great work Ice Dogs....On to the playoffs!
