No Luck in Teeswater
The Atom Girls were hoping to change there luck tonight in Teeswater however it was not to be.
It was a very rough start for the IceDogs in the first period with the Otters getting 2 inside the first half. The Defense was working hard to clear it out of the IceDogs end but lacked the aggression to hold off the Otters who just kept pushing. By the end of period one the score was 3-0 Otters.
The IceDogs found a little more aggression during the first half of period 2 but couldn't keep their sticks on the puck. With the Otters not letting up the IceDogs were down by one more before the period ended. Not lacking in aggression the Otters pulled a slashing penalty in the last few seconds.
The Icedogs held the Otters off through period three. But just couldn't find the fire to put one on the scoreboard.
Not sure we can blame Coach Dennis' fashion faux pas for this one, but just for the record he was NOT wearing his tie.
