The following is a message from our outgoing President, Sean Morphy:
What a great year Ice Dogs Nation!
I wanted to send a quick note of congratulations for our on ice performance and to express my appreciation to all the volunteers, coaches, executive, parents and players for another great season of Ice Dogs hockey, and our first since the return to "normal". This year saw us bring back some things we really missed because of COVID. Our tournament coordinators and committees allowed us to host a full slate of tournaments for the first time since before the pandemic. I was also very sad to miss our banquets (the first since 2019) as I recover from a fractured ankle (special thank you to
Scott Price for filling in). As my term as President winds down, and I reflect on the last two year, I am very proud of how we navigated the pandemic return to play with its stops and starts, and a return to a more normal season this year. The future is bright for our Association.
As a reminder, the AGM is coming up on Tuesday May 16 at the Tara Legion starting at 7PM. Anyone interested in an Executive position must attend this meeting, or let the executive know if they can't come, so that their name can be put forward for the vote. Any who would like to help, but hasn't expressed interest, please reach out to a member of the Executive as soon as possible.
Thank you for the great experience over the past two years - I am looking forward to watching the action from the ice, bench and stands.
President (Outgoing) AEMHA
