Calling all Coaches for AEMHA!
It's that time of year again! Time to start thinking about awards for our Awards Banquets (which are set for early April)
Teams U11 and above will need to consider the following:
Most Valuable Player
Most Sportsmanlike Player
Most Improved Player
Desire and Dedication
Each coach will select ONE for each (no sharing of awards) and they will announce them at the Senior Awards Banquet.
For teams U13, U11 and U9, each coach is allowed to nominate TWO players for the Bradley Spencer Award (sponsored by the Chesley Kinesman). These nominees will be eligible to have their registration fee paid. These players should be dedicated players that may have some personal/financial obstacles that get in the way of their participation in minor hockey.
Coaches, please submit your nominee(s) to Robin at [email protected] deadline for nominations for this award is March 1st.
The U11 Teams (Rep and Local League) will be asked to chose a player for the Trevor Weller Award - this award goes to the player deemed to have the most potential in hockey.
The Randy Posthumus Award is for players in U13 (Rep and Local League) and is for the player with the most respect for the game of hockey on and off the ice.
We are also asking for nominations for Volunteer of the Year and Coach of the Year. These submissions are done by players and their families online (see our website under Forms). Nominees will be sent to Arran-Elderslie Council to be selected. Volunteers can be trainers, assistant coaches, long time executive members -- anyone who fulfills a role on a volunteer basis and helps make our teams and Association tick.
Coach of the Year can be from any age group.
Deadline for submissions / selections is FEBRUARY 28
