We are are on the Eve of Return to Play as 3 of our newly formed groups take to the ice tomorrow!
A few things to keep in mind:
- Trainer kits are waiting for group trainers at the Chesley Arena Office (thanks to Andrea for getting that organized for each group.)
- Special shout out to Jacob of
Chesley Convenience for donating face masks for each of our trainer kits! Thanks Jacob!
- please pay for the first 4 weeks of phase 1 at your earliest convenience..Richard sent emails with instructions on how to do this to each group.
This is a repeat from an email that was sent to all teams but it is very important to keep in mind and should answer many questions:
Protocol:
If you, your child, or a family member in your household are feeling unwell please do not come to the rink as per Government, Municipal, OMHA and AEMHA Guidelines. Information sheet is attached for screening purposes.
You are not to enter the arena 15 minutes before your ice time.
There will be a sign in sheet confirming your child’s attendance and that he or she is feeling well and not showing any sign of illness.
1 Caregiver is allowed to enter with the player. Max capacity in the building is 50 so no exceptions are being made.
Entry after start time will not be permitted as the doors to the arena will be locked, so don’t be late.
Players are to come fully dressed minus skates and helmets. Dressing rooms are available for putting on and removing skates only.
Goaltenders are permitted to use the dressing rooms to get into full gear.
Masks must always be worn. Once player is ready to have their helmet on, they can remove their mask and exit the dressing room immediately.
Water/Waters Bottles are NOT being provided. If you would like water available for your ice time you must bring your own prefilled water bottle to your skate. Make sure it is clearly marked with the players name on it.
After on ice session you have 15 min to vacate the building using the marked exits. No loitering and socializing in dressing rooms, lobby, or hallways
Please make every effort to maintain social distancing protocols while in the arena and while participating in the skills sessions.
Please see signage in the arena for designated viewing areas.
Please also be supportive of the arena staff as they are dealing with a very complex situation in trying to maintain public safety and the well being off the participants of our program.
Arena staff has final say on all procedures and activities within the arena so please follow any instruction that you are given by them in a calm and cooperative manner.
