6-0-0 to finish Playdowns
On March 3, on a beautiful spring like evening your U13s packed their bags and headed to Drayton for the 4th game of playoffs.
Butterflies in the stomach, shaky hands, sweaty palms, the racing heart, enough about the fans lets get to the game!

We met Drayton in the Regional Silverstick finals and they were a tough competitor. That game ended 2-1 for the Icedogs in double OT, so you best believe your U13 Icedogs brought their game faces!
First period Icedogs were quick to the draw with Jackson M potting his 4th of the playoffs assisted by Calhon U at 9:37 which would also hold up as the GWG.
Second Period seen a lot of defensive skills with no goals but big saves at both ends of the ice.  At 8:24 of the 3rd Calhon U puts home his 5th of the playoffs assisted by Connor H and Landon S. Icedogs now up 2-0, the remainder of the 3 stayed very defensive, but the defenders pulled their goalie for a 6-5 push with just under 1 minute remaining and with only 13 secs left to play in the 3rd Hunter T gathers up a loose puck in the neutral zone and slides home the empty netter. Icedogs skate away with the 3-0 win.

March 4th, Icedogs played host to the Wingham Ironman at the Tara Barn.
First period did not see any scoring but a lot of end to end action. Just 16 secs into the second Landry W finds the back of the net with Sawyer M getting the helper which would also turn out to be the GWG. Icedogs other centermen also buried one Calhon U with his 6th of the playoffs assisted by Hunter T. With 5 periods of play Icedogs were ready for the flood rest and after a full charge Landry W wasn't done ripping top shelf his 6th of the playoffs with a Hail Mary feed from Landon S. Wingham found themselves in some penalty trouble while Kane W turned over the loose puck and went down on a 2 on 1 with Landry W and Kane nets it putting this game out of reach at 4-0.

With a practice and almost a week off your U13s now host the Blyth-Brussles Crusaders Sunday March 10 at 5pm for their final round robin playoff game.
Coaches decided to share some ice time around in different ways and Icedogs found themselves down 3-1 after 1. So half way through the second "Alright kids lines back to normal time to play OMHA play down hockey. Icedogs got busy for the remainder of the second and third period with goals from Connor H 2, Jackson M 2, Landon S, Kane W, Hunter T all adding singles with numerous assists going to Connor H, Sawyer M, Calhon U, and Landry W, final score 8-4 to complete the OMHA round robin Tier 2 play downs at 6-0-0.
Congratulations to Jack T for his back to back shut outs against Drayton and Wingham. A shout out to Declan H for joining us in the back up goalie role in Tara when we hosted the Ironmen.
This crew had the opportunity to play Tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 for regular season and Playoffs ending with a record of 19-4-2. This team Kane, Hunter, Connor, Paysen, Jackson, Sebastain, Landry, Calhon, Landon, Sawyer, Sam, Linkin, and Jack are a family unit, they win together, they lose together and they stand up for each other. These kiddos displayed true sportsmanship no matter if it was a win, loss, or a tie, "for the love of the game" As parents, grandparents, and fans we should all be very proud of the season that these U13 Reps had, it had been a pleasure to watch them play the sport that they love and it showed with every game. But wait, the fun is not over yet, up next a 4 point series for the WOAA Gregg Division Championship against the Drayton Defenders before heading to the OMHAs in Halton Hills on Easter weekend..
