Ice Dogs continue there Hot Streak
a

The Saugeen Shores Storm Rep B team travelled to Chesley to take on your U13 Rep Ice Dogs.  With a couple of AP players (Mac Monkman and Peyson Hamel) making there rookie debuts.  The Storm were ready for redemption in this one, as we faced off earlier in the season with a win for the Ice Dogs.  The Storm hit the scoreboard first as they were winning all the puck races and most of the battles for the puck early.  The Ice Dogs slowly found there game at the end of the first period, but it was 1-0 Storm.  The Storm struck again early in the second, but this seemed to put a charge into the bench and we were off.  First it was Porter B charging down LW and found Aden M set up in his office in the slot and 2-1. Then it was Porter again finding line mate Jesse P and it was 2-2 halfway through the second.  Then Carter M deked through four Storm defenders and a couple of fans and ripped one top corner for a 3-2 lead.  But hold on this is a B center team that it is well coached and they came right back next shift and tied it up.  Then 10 seconds later they put on a passing clinic and found the back of the net again and they were up 4-3.  A positive pep talk in the dressing room as these Ice Dogs have not been down lately, and we came out flying and found our total game again.  We were winning all the races and al the battles to the puck, and Conner B raced end to end went wide on the defender instead of through him(inside coaching joke) and fired one top shelf and it was 4-4.  Then some sustained pressure in the Storm zone and Jesse P found a wide open Bronson B on the point and he fired home his first goal of the season.  Then some strong work down low from rookie Peyson H and Conner B in perfect position backing up the play fed a wide open Carter M and it was 6-4.  The Storm pulled their goalie and Landry W fired home the final goal for a 7-4 win.  Another exhibition game coming up against another team up a division in the Georgian Shores Lightning on Thursday in Thornbury.
