Healthy Bench with a healthier outcome
Playoffs, they are just simply the best. The camaraderie of the team, and the parents, the excitement, the noise, mainly the cowbells (the kind you shake, not drink), and the effort these kids put in. Playoffs just hit different, you never know what can or will happen. keeping fans on the edge of their seats, and digging deep to get what needs to be done, done.

Thursday night your U11 Reps took on the cross country rivals The TCD Rebels yet again for their final match up in OMHA round robin playdowns.
First period started quick, Icedogs were ready for action with an early 2 on 1 break down the ice Calhon U nets a beauty backhander to get the Icedogs on the board first, with the assist going to Paysen H. This got our crew fired up, like I said playoffs hit different. Spending most of our time in the Rebels end gave the Icedogs lots of shots on net, as the puck the dribbled loose in the slot Bronson B walked in and ripped it in the back of the net, assists going to Connor H, and Jackson M giving Icedogs a 2-0 lead. Once again Defense was solid Avery W, Landon S, Sam F, and Bronson were everywhere, like literally allover the Rebels. They were relentless, a dog after a bone.
Icedogs didn't waste anytime at 6:32 of the second period Landry W fires a wrist shot past TCD tender with the lone assist going to Paysen H. Then just 2 minutes later those two decided to switch spots with Paysen H making it 4-0 for Icedogs with the assist going to Landry W. The game got a little scrambled at times looked like a big clump of players from both sides, in and out, back and forth, side to side. We managed to pepper the goalie with shots but were denied for the rest of the second.
The third, the period I loth, its the longest and the most intense, but going in with 4-0 lead Icedogs were caught sitting still and TCD got on the board, putting and end to little Jack T's shut out. Your third period well conditioned 2011 line of Landry W, Paysen H, Calhon U netted 2 more putting Icedogs up 6-1. Defense had their work cut out for them in holding the Rebels back. Challenged excepted! This team is a force, they play well together, they all have a role and a uniqueness they bring to the ice. Whether its skating, backchecking, shooting, passing, they get the job done. This crew has grown so much as a team together this past season, they have all improved so much from the start of the year.
Next Action will see Icedogs take on Kincardine Kinucks at the Paisley arena at 12:15pm Sat Mar 5th. Come Cheer them on. Bring your cowbell!!
