Icedogs froze out the Cyclones
What a great way to start the Winter Break, early Saturday afternoon the U11 Reps hosted the Listowel Cyclones in Paisley. There was a lot of goals, assists, and contributions from the entire Icedogs family in todays win and Jack T added his 3rd shutout of the season to his resume
With covid on the rise in our small community, and all the uncertainty that has come along with it, the resilience that this group of children have shown is truly inspirational to us adults. The fact that we are still able to continue playing games with great centers like Listowel is a huge blessing. We have lost the opportunity to have team parties and gatherings but these kids just keep plugging along like its any normal day.
Todays game was a great balance of strategizing, passing, and players trying new positions. Different lines, forwards playing defense, defense playing forward. Proving that this group is a force. Big shout out to all the families, parents, grandparents, coaches, all the teammates, and the Arena staff for keeping us safe and following all the protocols that have been put in place. We know this hasn't been easy and trust us, everything your doing hasn't gone unnoticed.
A special thank you to Jenn M and Tim F for caring for the kids on the bench, the compassion and care you show them is just like us moms would give. They are in good hands.
With all the goals and assists today im going to say the quote "everyones hands were in the Pot" with Todays Final 16-0.
