Atom Rep IceDogs Can't Sink the Lakers
The AEMHA Atom Rep IceDogs headed to Shallow Lake for a Sunday afternoon matinee against the Shallow Lake Lakers. The Lakers sit just ahead of the IceDogs in the standings so everybody was ready for a great game.
Apparently the refs didn't get the memo though as they made countless blunders in this one. The Lakers did do a better job checking the IceDogs and the IceDogs didn't quite have enough drive to get those 2nd and 3rd chances. Lucas S. would notch the only goal for the IceDogs late in the game and an unfortunate curfew cut the game short negating any chance of a comeback. Despite the frustrating officiating and curfew, the IceDogs did some things well and know they need to be better next time they play the Lakers.
